Please note that we do NOT accept:
- Damaged home furnishings
- China hutches
- Entertainment centers
- Major appliances
If you have any of the above items that you would like to donate, use this form to let us know. We will contact you to set up a pickup date for your donation.
You can also set up donation pickup dates by reaching out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 518-612-BANK.
Why is there a process charge to pick up my donations?
The furniture bank is not retail space. Unlike some other organizations, we don’t sell the items in our warehouse to those who are living in furniture poverty.
When households in need are referred to us, they are invited to shop our warehouse at no charge and their selections are delivered by our team at no charge.
Your nominal process charge at point of pickup helps alleviate fuel costs, truck maintenance costs, the cost of insurance, and the cost to staff our warehousing space.
Can I drop off donations myself?
Yes! Donors are welcome to drop off appropriate furniture donations at our warehouse between the hours of 8:30AM and 3:30PM.
When dropping off donations please call ahead to make sure we have the appropriate personnel on site to assist you with your donation.
What if I don’t have any furniture to donate?
That’s okay! There are still ways you can make a difference in the lives of in-need households within the Capital Region.
